Terrassa, 1953. Between deliveries from the family’s cod stall, a young Ramón Masats took his first photographs, joined the town’s photographic association and won a prize with the portrait of a cow. This chapter is devoted to those beginnings: sixteen photographs from that first year.
With thanks to Chema Conesa, curator and close friend of Masats, whose account tells this story.
Eight of them are still available as unique prints. Click on any photograph to see its technical details and availability.
