The press and the book
Between March 2025 and June 2026, at least twelve articles featured Carlos, in eleven publications and four languages. Six of them appeared in the three days of Paris Photo 2025, from 14 to 16 November: Dazed, AD France, El País, Le Figaro, Harper's Bazaar Italia and The New York Times.
Before Paris, two Italian magazines, d la Repubblica and Internazionale, told the story behind "Hero, Father, Friend". After it came Il Sole 24 Ore, El País Semanal, NR Magazine and Vogue France, which called him "l'une des nouvelles références de la photographie africaine", one of the new references of African photography. In July 2026, Artsy's editors included him in "5 Artists on Our Radar".
The work also continued in print: "Hero, Father, Friend", published by Marsilio Arte, with texts by Denis Curti and Alessio Fusi.
