Constelaciones fotográficas. Pensar desde las imágenes is the first exhibition drawn from the collection of the Centro Nacional de Fotografía (CNF), Spain's national centre for photography. It opened on 2 October 2026 in the Sala de Fotografía of the Centro Niemeyer in Avilés and runs until 31 January 2027.
Its 102 works by 38 artists trace the leading names, languages and currents of contemporary Spanish photography. Every winner of the Premio Nacional de Fotografía to date is represented, Ramón Masats among them (he received the prize in 2004), together with Marisa González, Premio Velázquez 2023, and some of the most compelling voices of the younger generation.
The exhibition is curated by Mónica Carabias Álvaro, director of the CNF, and comes with a book of the works on show, with texts by Mónica Carabias Álvaro and the writer Lara Moreno.
