Artsy has included Carlos Idun-Tawiah in 5 Artists on Our Radar, its monthly selection of five artists who have caught the attention of its editors through new representation, exhibitions, auctions, art fairs or new works on the platform. The July 2026 edition, by Katie White, also features Kayode Ojo, Iris Yehong Mao, Nabilah Nordin and Sophie Smorczewski.

The article presents Carlos as one of the standout voices in contemporary African photography, with cinematic images that look back to an earlier Ghana. It recalls Hero, Father, Friend, the fictional archive of fathers and sons he began after losing his father at eighteen, as well as Sunday Special, drawn from a Christian childhood in Ghana, and Boys Will Always Be Boys, on the tenderness of boyhood.

It also mentions I'll Be Here to Remind You, his solo exhibition at Alta, and his residency this summer at Studio Voltaire in London.
